ARON GOTTESMAN is professor of finance and the chair of the department of finance and economics at the Lubin School of Business at Pace University. He teaches courses on derivative securities, financial markets, and asset management, and presents corporate workshops on derivative securities to bulge bracket financial institutions.

A good, understandable introductory text

This book is an excellent primer on options. The author gives a succinct and clear approach to the various derivatives without getting lost in esoteric mathematical derivations. I also appreciated the coverage of the concepts relating to options prior to discussion of the mathematics.The book covers the important concepts including the greeks, pricing and valuation and swaps. Overall I think this is one of the best introductory derivatives books out there when it comes to readability.
