I wish Bruce would write more books.
This is an EXCELLENT primer in tube physics, how things work and WHY, and is a MUST READ.
It ALSO includes schematics to build a few preamps, amps, and even a couple of tube testers.

Really great info on tubes in a time when tube info is hard to find. Not a light read. But not too heavy either. Written for knowlegable "amateur" tube experimenters to "updating" for engineers.
